Our hotel has history

From local court to modern hotel

The Old District Court of Oppenheim was built at the beginning of the 20th century in 1903 as a grand-ducal district court and was used as a district court until 1972. In the past, legal proceedings were held here and judgments were passed. In addition to the official rooms, the judge's apartment was integrated into the building. Today, most of the stylishly furnished guest rooms are located here.

Today, couples can say "I do" in the historic wedding room. Afterwards, they can celebrate in the ballroom for up to 80 people in the "High Court".

From 1972 to 2007, the State Office for Nature & Environment was located here.

Then, unfortunately, the house stood empty for many years until we acquired it on 06.01.2015. It is a matter of the heart for us to breathe new life into the Old District Court. After a year of brainstorming and planning, we started the conversion work in spring 2016. Today, you will now find 14 guest rooms, two event rooms and three meeting rooms in our historic building.

Our listed house is state of the art. The slate roof, heating & plumbing as well as the electrical system were renovated. An elevator was installed outside the building. Not only the special ambience shows the history of the building. Also the inscription chiseled on a battlement, "Time will pass, quarrel shall blow away, right must stand" outside the building, reminds of the past time.
